Hello there! I’m Alexis Coxon, the creator of Divine Rosaries. I live in Michigan with my husband, Jay; our son, Matthew, who was born on Holy Saturday of this year; and our pets (one dogs and three cats). You can read my blog here: sanveann.blogspot.com

I converted to Catholicism at the age of 17 and have always had a grealexis1106smat interest in and devotion to the rosary. A couple of years ago, I discovered wire-wrapped rosaries -- which seemed like a brilliant idea, as I had so many broken ones! I learned how to make them after taking a jewelry-making class at a local store, and with some advice from some wonderful ladies online. My intention was originally to just create rosaries for myself and my friends and family, but I had so much fun designing and making them that I thought I would go into business, so I could share my work with others.

My patron saint is St. Francis of Assisi, who I have always felt close to, because of our mutual love of God’s creatures. Some of my other favorite saints include St. Martin de Porres and St. Therese of Lisieux (the Little Flower). Her autobiography, “The Story of a Soul,” is an amazing and very inspirational work that I highly recommend to anyone.

Some of my other favorite religious books include “The Practice of the Presence of God” by Brother Lawrence, anything by C.S. Lewis (but especially “The Screwtape Letters” and “Mere Christianity”) and a wonderful little book called “My Daily Bread” by Father Anthony Paone. You can find it at most Catholic bookstores.
